Our extra-large range is made with extra love! The pieces in our 500 XL puzzles are double the size of those in our 500 and 1000 piece puzzles. This means they are perfect for those who find larger piece counts too tricky, or are suffering with sight or handling difficulties.
This 500 XL piece jigsaw puzzle has been painted by the talented artist Trevor Mitchell and was previously released in Wish You Were Here 4 x 500 multi-box set. Also available in 1000 pieces.

About The Artist:
After leaving Bradford Art College in 1979 with a Diploma in Art and Design, Trevor Mitchell began his career as an art director at a London advertising agency. He returned to his native West Yorkshire a few years later and worked for several design studios and advertising agencies before going freelance in 1986. Commercial illustration work rekindled his love of painting and he was encouraged by finding a market for his work among the publishers of greeting cards and jigsaw puzzles. Art prints of his paintings are now sold worldwide. Trevor's paintings reflect his enthusiasm for steam and vintage vehicles and his fascination with recreating the past in pictures appears frequently in Gibsons nostalgic puzzle range.

As with all Gibsons jigsaws, we use 100% recycled puzzle board and work with the best artists from all around the world. The beautifully illustrated pieces are designed to fit perfectly together; in fact, we use the thickest puzzle board on the market.
We’ve made some positive changes to our processes, so you can be sure you’re getting the same great puzzles and know they are kinder to the environment. Not only does the box have a fresh new look, but we’ve used biodegradable clear labels to secure the lid instead of shrink wrap, reducing our plastic waste. We use vegetable-based inks too. The gloss coating on the box gives extra protection and the puzzle pieces are stored in a plastic bag that can be recycled by most councils.
Because the box is slightly smaller than our previous designs, we need less room to transport our products which reduces our carbon footprint and means you can store your puzzles more easily. We have also popped an artwork poster inside for you to reference whilst you piece together your lovely jigsaw puzzle.
